Section 01

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Prime Wealth Corporation Bank website and our digital banking channels. By using them you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

These website terms sit alongside — and do not replace — the specific agreement for each product you hold with us. Your account agreement, card agreement, loan agreement, tariff and any applicable schedules govern that product. Where those documents conflict with these terms, the product documents prevail.

We may amend these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights we will give you advance notice through online banking or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the amended terms.

Who you are contracting with

Prime Wealth Corporation Bank, of Rue La Chaussée, Port Louis 11302, Mauritius. Full registered particulars are set out on the Legal Entity Information page.

Section 02

Eligibility and registration

To open an account or use our digital banking channels you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a contract.
  • Provide accurate, complete and current information about yourself, and keep it up to date.
  • Complete identity verification to our satisfaction, and provide any further information we are required to obtain.
  • Use the service for your own account, not on behalf of an undisclosed third party.
  • Not be a person or entity subject to sanctions, or resident in a jurisdiction we cannot serve.

We may decline an application, and we are not always able to tell you why. We may also require additional verification at any point in the relationship where regulation or our risk assessment requires it.

Section 03

Your credentials and security duties

Your username, password, PIN, one-time passcodes, authenticator device and biometric enrolment are personal to you. Keeping them confidential is one of your primary obligations under these terms.

  • Never disclose your password, PIN or a one-time passcode to anyone — including anyone claiming to be from Prime Wealth Corporation Bank. We will never ask for them.
  • Use a password that is unique to this account and not reused on any other website.
  • Keep your registered email address and mobile number current, since both are used for security codes.
  • Keep the devices you bank on updated, locked and free from software you did not deliberately install.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect your credentials, card or device have been compromised.

Why this matters to your liability

You are generally not liable for unauthorised transactions where you kept your credentials confidential and told us promptly. Sharing credentials, or delaying a report once you knew or suspected a problem, can change that position.

Section 04

Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website or our services to:

  • Break any law, regulation or sanctions regime, or facilitate anyone else doing so.
  • Launder money, finance terrorism, evade tax, or handle the proceeds of crime.
  • Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, residence or the source of your funds.
  • Gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or data.
  • Introduce malware, run automated scraping or load-testing, or interfere with the operation of the service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or copy any part of our software except where the law expressly permits it.
  • Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit access to the service without our written consent.

Breach of this section may result in suspension or closure of your account, and where appropriate a report to law enforcement or the relevant authority.

Section 05

Instructions, authorisation and cut-off times

An instruction given through your authenticated session — and confirmed with your security credentials where we require it — is treated as given by you, and we may act on it without further enquiry.

When we may refuse
We may decline or delay an instruction where there are insufficient available funds, where a limit would be exceeded, where details are incomplete or inconsistent, where we suspect fraud or error, or where acting would breach a legal or regulatory obligation.
Cut-off times
Instructions received after the daily cut-off, or on a non-working day, are processed on the next working day. Cut-off times are published in online banking and may differ by payment type and currency.
Cancellation
A scheduled or unreleased payment can be cancelled before it is released. Once released, a payment can only be recalled with the cooperation of the receiving bank, and recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Accuracy of details
Payments are generally routed on the account number or IBAN you supply. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter.
Section 06

Service availability and changes

We aim to keep our services available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict access — with notice where it is practical to give it, and without notice where it is not — in order to:

  • Carry out maintenance, upgrades or emergency repairs.
  • Protect the security of your account or our systems.
  • Comply with a legal, regulatory or court requirement.
  • Respond to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Section 07

Fees, charges and interest

The fees, charges and interest that apply to you are set out in the tariff for your product and are shown on screen before you confirm any chargeable transaction.

We may vary fees and interest rates in accordance with your product agreement. Where a variation is to your disadvantage we will give you advance written notice in line with the notice period stated there, and you may close the account without penalty within that period.

Section 08

Suspension, restriction and closure

We may suspend or restrict access to an account, or close it, where:

  • We are required to do so by law, regulation, a court order or an instruction from a competent authority.
  • We reasonably suspect fraud, financial crime or unauthorised access.
  • Verification information we are obliged to hold is outstanding or has expired.
  • You have materially breached these terms or your product agreement.
  • The account has been dormant for an extended period.

Where the law permits us to explain, we will. In some circumstances — particularly where a financial crime investigation is involved — we are legally prohibited from telling you the reason or the expected timescale. Your funds remain your property throughout.

You may close your account at any time, subject to settling any outstanding balance and to any notice period in your product agreement.

Section 09

Our liability and yours

We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses where you use the service other than as a consumer, or for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

What we never exclude

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights under mandatory consumer protection and payment services law.

You are responsible for loss arising from your own breach of these terms, from giving us inaccurate instructions, or from failing to keep your credentials confidential.

Section 10

Intellectual property

All rights in this website, our applications and their content belong to Prime Wealth Corporation Bank or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them for their intended purpose while you are a customer.

That licence does not permit copying, redistribution, modification or commercial exploitation of any part of the service, or use of our name, logo or trade marks without our written consent.

Section 11

Complaints and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong we would rather hear about it than not. Raise it with us first — most issues are resolved quickly once the right team sees them.

Section 12

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by . Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply where they cannot be excluded by agreement.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
