The figures on this page are published for orientation. The tariff that governs your account is the one issued with your product documentation and available in online banking under Profile → Documents. Where the two differ, your product tariff applies.

Section 01

How we price

Pricing should be legible before you commit, not discoverable afterwards on a statement.

visibility

Shown before you confirm

Every chargeable action displays its fee — and for cross-currency payments the exact rate and amount — on the confirmation screen.

receipt_long

Itemised, never bundled

Fees appear as separate lines on your statement rather than being folded into the transaction amount.

notifications_active

Changes notified in advance

Increases are notified in writing with the notice period in your agreement, and you may close the account without penalty within it.

block

No surprise minimums

Where a fee is waived above a balance or activity threshold, the threshold is stated with the fee, not in a footnote.

Section 02

Account fees

ServiceTypical basis
Account maintenanceMonthly, where the product carries a fee. Commonly waived above a stated balance or qualifying activity.
Additional accounts in the same nameUsually no additional maintenance fee.
Multi-currency accountPer currency held, where applicable to the product.
Dormancy handlingNo fee. Dormant accounts are restricted for protection, not charged.
Account closureNo fee. Any accrued interest and outstanding charges are settled on closure.

Business and treasury accounts are priced on the profile of the relationship — volumes, currencies and channels used. A written quotation is provided before onboarding.

Correspondent deductions

On a shared-charges wire, intermediary banks between us and the beneficiary may deduct their own fees. Choosing to pay all charges yourself is the only way to guarantee the beneficiary receives the exact amount.

Section 04

Card fees

ServiceTypical basis
Card issuance and scheduled renewalFree.
Virtual card creationFree.
Replacement outside normal renewalA fee may apply where replacement is not due to our error or to fraud.
Purchases in the card currencyFree.
Purchases in another currencyConverted at the card scheme rate on the day of settlement, plus any foreign transaction fee stated in your tariff.
ATM withdrawal within allowance and networkFree.
ATM withdrawal outside allowance or networkA fee may apply. The ATM operator may also charge separately and must display this before you confirm.
Chargeback or disputeFree to raise.
warning

Decline dynamic currency conversion

When a merchant abroad offers to charge you in your home currency, their exchange rate is almost always worse than the card scheme rate. Always choose to be charged in the local currency.

Section 05

Exchange rates

Rates are derived from live interbank pricing plus a margin that varies by currency pair, amount and account type. Because the margin is already inside the quoted rate, the figures shown on screen are the final figures.

  1. 1Enter the amount and currencies on the transfer or conversion screen.
  2. 2We display the rate, the margin, and exactly what will be debited and credited.
  3. 3The quote is held for a short window. Leaving the screen open too long requires a refresh, because rates move continuously.

For material amounts, or where you need certainty about a future obligation, business and treasury customers can request a quoted rate or a forward contract. Ask before executing rather than after.

Section 06

Interest

Credit interest
Paid on eligible balances at the rate for your product and balance band. The rate, the accrual basis and the payment frequency are stated in your rate sheet.
Variable rates
May change. Decreases are notified in advance in line with your agreement; increases take effect as stated there.
Borrowing interest
Charged only on the amount drawn and only for the days it is outstanding. Your credit agreement states the rate, the total amount repayable and any fees.
Arranged overdraft
Interest on the amount used, at the rate shown under Accounts in online banking.
Unarranged shortfall
Payments are returned unpaid rather than funded. A fee may apply and the payee will see the payment fail.
Section 07

Manual services

ServiceTypical basis
Statement download (PDF or CSV)Free, any period, any time.
Stamped or certified statementA fee may apply. Normally issued within two working days.
Audit or reference letterA fee may apply.
Archive retrieval beyond seven yearsA fee may apply where manual retrieval is required.
Documents in an alternative accessible formatFree, always.
Section 08

Limits

Limits are a fraud control rather than a commercial restriction: they cap what an attacker could move if they ever reached your account. Your live limits are shown on the transfer screen and under Profile → Limits.

  • Limits vary by account type, verification level, account age and transfer type.
  • Completing outstanding verification often lifts a limit immediately.
  • Temporary or permanent increases can be requested through a support ticket, stating the amount, reason and date needed.
  • Newly added beneficiaries may have a short cooling-off period or a capped first payment.
Section 09

Changes to pricing

We may vary fees and rates in accordance with the variation clause in your agreement. Where a change is to your disadvantage we give advance written notice, and you may close the affected account or facility without penalty within the notice period.

If a charge on your statement is not clear, ask us. Raise a support ticket with the date and amount and we will explain exactly what it was for.
