Rates below are our standard published pricing. High-volume merchants are priced individually, and the rate that applies to you is the one stated in your merchant agreement before you accept it.
Transaction rates
One rate per card type. No monthly account fee, no setup cost, no minimum volume, and no separate interchange line to decode.
| Payment type | Rate | Per transaction | Applies to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domestic cards | 1.2% | + $0.20 | Consumer debit and credit cards issued in your home market. |
| International cards | 2.9% | + $0.20 | Cards issued outside your home market, and commercial cards. |
| Bank transfer | 0.5% | + $0.10 | Direct debit and instant bank transfer, where available. |
| Digital wallet | As underlying card | + $0.20 | Priced on the card funding the wallet, not on the wallet itself. |
Charged per successful transaction and deducted at settlement, so there is no separate invoice to reconcile.
Why commercial cards cost more
Corporate and rewards cards carry a higher scheme cost, which every acquirer pays. We put them in the international band rather than surprising you with a surcharge line.
Every other fee that can apply
This is the complete list. If a charge is not here and not in your merchant agreement, it does not exist.
| Fee | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Account setup | None | Never. Onboarding is free. |
| Monthly account fee | None | Never on standard pricing. |
| Terminal hardware | Published per device | Once, when you order. Next-day shipping is included. |
| Refunds | None | The original transaction fee is not returned, but no new fee is charged. |
| Chargeback | Published flat fee | Per case raised. Refunded in full if the case is decided in your favour. |
| Payout to your account | None | Standard next-day payout is free. |
| Instant settlement | Published percentage | Only if you switch instant settlement on. |
| Currency conversion | Published margin | When you settle in a currency other than the transaction currency. |
| PCI non-compliance | None | We do not charge a penalty. We will tell you what needs fixing. |
Compare on the total, not the headline
A provider quoting a lower percentage may charge monthly, per-payout, for PCI, and for the terminal. Add a realistic month of your own volume across both tariffs before deciding.
What it costs in practice
A worked month for a merchant taking $50,000 across 1,000 transactions, split the way most retailers actually split.
| Line | Volume | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic cards, 800 transactions | $38,000 | $456.00 + $160.00 |
| International cards, 120 transactions | $8,000 | $232.00 + $24.00 |
| Bank transfers, 80 transactions | $4,000 | $20.00 + $8.00 |
| Monthly account fee | — | $0.00 |
| Payouts (21 business days) | — | $0.00 |
| Total | $50,000 | $900.00 |
Illustrative, using the published standard rates. Your mix decides your effective rate — here it works out at 1.8%.
Volume and custom pricing
- Above a sustained monthly volume, pricing moves to interchange-plus, where you see the scheme cost and our margin separately.
- Interchange-plus is usually cheaper at scale and always more transparent, but it makes each month less predictable.
- Marketplaces, subscription businesses and high-risk sectors are priced on their own profile.
- Whichever model you are on, the rate is stated in your agreement and cannot change without notice to you.
